DESSERT and HYDRA host joint webinar on Hydrogen testing and safety

On 7 July 2026, the DESSERT and HYDRA projects successfully held a joint online webinar dedicated to advancing knowledge and exchanging expertise on hydrogen technologies. The event brought together a broad audience of researchers, industry representatives and stakeholders interested in the safe deployment of hydrogen solutions.

The event sparked an engaging discussion, with participants actively contributing through questions and comments, fostering a valuable exchange of perspectives on current challenges and opportunities in the hydrogen sector.

Representing the DESSERT project, Prof. Nelson Rafael Perozo from the Clausthal University of Technology delivered a presentation on the hydrogen tests carried out within the project. His talk highlighted the testing activities performed as part of DESSERT and provided an overview of the safety measures implemented to ensure secure hydrogen handling and operation throughout the project’s experimental activities.

The joint event also showcased the importance of collaboration between European research initiatives working towards a cleaner and more resilient energy future. By bringing together complementary expertise from both projects, the workshop offered participants the opportunity to gain insights into ongoing research while strengthening connections across the hydrogen innovation ecosystem.

The DESSERT consortium would like to sincerely thank Prof. Nelson Rafael Perozo for his valuable contribution, as well as the colleagues from the HYDRA project for their collaboration in organising this successful event. We also extend our gratitude to everyone who attended and actively participated, making the workshop an interactive and enriching experience.
